I think that is Don. I don't think Barry Taylor is remunerated.

I'm a co director and I don't get anything like that.

Being a co director means nothing in the salary stakes, it's a statutory office. Every ltd co has to have a minimum of one.

It's not really asset stripping though, is it? If a car dealership bought a car, improved it and sold it on at a profit would that sale be asset stripping? It's just part of running a football club and it always has been.

On the second point, personally I'm all for outsourcing non-core parts of the business and focussing on the core activities, as long as appropriate SLAs are in place and enforced.

Fair enough, I know directors at my place (not on the company board etc) are on 100k plus. And we have loads. That's where my comparison comes from.

Not surprised. O'connor was on around £20,000 a week when he was here full time, mcshane was costing us around £12,000 just being on loan, harewood was costing us over £5000 a week and he was just on loan. Robins did well for us but were skint because of him and Davey wasting money

To be fair to Rowing though he is expected to make the fundamental decisions on which the clubs success rest yet a squad player will have earned his annual salary in only 16 weeks.

Still could have done better with what he had. Up against it and not pragmatic enough to keep us up.

He was in a position to support us. He did.

    Can't blame him for that.

So neither can you blame Robins or Davey for using that support.

You can't. You can blame them for wasting it on has been Prem laikers though. Just like folk are blaming Keith for 'wasting' his budget on lower league players.

At least he only spent what he said he would.

Butterfield's sale won't be included in these accounts

It'll be the sale of Shackell.

Turnover down, crowds down, loss of £400k before transfers, another manager 'lost'.

Taken at face value, not an outstanding financial period imho.

Aye he was sold in June, so the £1.3 million is for Vaz & Shacks, we know Vaz Te is £500k so Shackell was 800k? Lets hope they had a sell on fee for next years accounts.

Re: "Wages reduced from £7.5m in 2011 to £6.2m at the end of May last year."

% of turnover spent on wages

    Robins 68%

    Hill 72%

There's a million ways to spin something.

Loan notes from Patrick Cryne went up during Hill's tenure.

Robins spent more and got more points on the board. Hill spent less and got fewer. Neither bankrupted the club.

And let's remember, last season was Hill's good season, if we can call it such.

Re: Butterfield's sale won't be included in these accounts

There was definitely a sell on fee for Shackell. But as it's only a percentage of the profit Derby made on him I can't see it being much.
