Preedy's Grave

    @Gordon Ottershaw and Molly looked into any surviving relatives when London Tykes/BFCST originally renovated the grave, and non were found. I believe there was talk of reassigning the "ownership" of the grave to the Trust or Club so we could get the headstone recreated. Certainly there were many discussions with the Cemetery about this. It was initially in this state when @Mr C @Gordon Ottershaw and Molly located it with the help of some other local London Tykes.

    I wasn’t involved in locating the grave. Mr Waddington directed me to it & I dropped by to tidy it for a few seasons, as I lived close by in Highgate. The new stone was in place..
    Some remedial cleaning, but nothing on the scale that Gaz & his pals did, later on. :)

    It was “re-discovered” around the start of the Premier League season by a local Tyke and the undergrowth was cut back. He put flowers on the grave and took photos which I think were in one of the programmes that season, but it was then sadly vandalised. London Tykes/BFCST then repaired it didn’t they?
