    I'd still not risk prawns @Tekkytyke as mild allergies can sometimes abruptly turn into serious ones.

    Thanks for the concern RH. I have had this minor reaction randomly for years now and it consist of small itchy blotches that appear on my chest a couple of hours after eating seafood (mostly dishes that contain prawns) and which disappear a couple of hours after that. It is odd as it does not always happen so I wonder if it is a comnbination of things that triggers it. I have tried various things and kept notes but unable to find a a consistent pattern. Ho hum. As regards stopping eating them, I could probably give up meat eating if I had to but seafood and fish...no way!!
