Well, if so Let's hope he does.
BFC's future in the Championship though - it's a huge responsibility. When you think about it who'd want to set that on ? From an owner's perspective, not a managers btw, cos there's always some mentalist wants a job running a team.
I've said before that 3 FULL seasons should be given to a manger to make his mark - what worries me with Davey and makes me think he needs replacing is this season we've gone backwards. It'll have to be a turn around of gargantuan proportions to get us top half imho. And he'll have to sign 2 decent strikers for once.

3 years if its your first job or not is a fair amount of time to have improved the squad and the league position. In my opinion he has improved the squad greatly but nothing has changed in relation to performances and results. Like i have said he has had his chance and not taken it, its time for someone new to come in and look at our squad with fresh eyes.
If we stay up ...... There's a fairly big rebuilding job to be done between now and the start of next season ...... surely after 3 years in the job that shouldn't be necessary ? When i think about it now I'm fairly easy on Davey staying or going .... not too pushed either way even though in the last couple of weeks i've gone mad over his formations and tactics and in the heat of the moment demanded his sacking ! I think Bobby Hassell gives a pretty interesting insight into the way most of the squad must feel when he says you live and die by your strikeforce ..... I think defensively we have been for the most part very good this year and we have enough creativety in midfield too. It must frustrate the likes of Bobby, Foster, Kozzy and Moore when they keep things pretty tight for the mostpart and then concede the odd goal which costs us points ..... Did someone say we have conceded only 4 more goals than Wolves this year ? Davey needs to sort the strikers out and that's an annoying thing to be still saying when it's been the case for 3 years !!
Kozluk's made that point before But my worry with Davey if what I hear is correct - and I don't know if it's true or not is that players expressing opinions doesn't go down too well - now there has to be respect for the manager from within the squad, but experienced professionals have a contribution to make - it's how you handle it which marks you out as a good man manager.
Their point is valid though, as an attacking force we are poor, and until that is sorted we will always struggle.

Correct .... and probably a clue as to why Kozzy ain't been offered a new contract ! I think he should get one too the way he's played all season ! Maybe Davey is planning to sign a leftback ...... something else he should have done 2 years ago ! (at least). The defence will be hard hit in the summer ........I can't see Steele, Kozluk, Souza or Van Hommo being here come the start of next season even if we stay up ..... that's why it's frustrating to have to be rebuilding all the time. There's no stability. It would be nice to just concentrate and bringing in 3 or 4 players rather than a whole team every summer !
He spent all his budget on a striker!!!!! and he's loaned in two more than have a decent Championship pedigree. You cant say he's not tried to address it. And for sure, another striker will be on his shopping list in the summer. All the more reason to give him at least the first few months of next season to see how we go. A new guy will want to start from scratch and I dont think we have the budget or mentality to do that.
Strikers we have Bogdnovich and Hume are worth keeping, the rest are ****. We need two new strikers, that is a must.
problem is its not his first job I'm pretty sure he managed our academy side before managing the first team and before that he managed kids at preston and has been a coach there since we were in the premiership. I would have hoped that in 12 years he would have developed the required tactical knowledge but much like odejayi, if he hasnt learnt in that amount of time then he never will
Not at all... but suggesting that the owner and manager should be aiming to tell the fans "I told you so" is equally as "Bonkers". You are right to say that not all supporters will like the manager, hell some still like Davey, a lot do not but once the majority have lost faith then a "change is inevitable". You've got to admit that a degree of unity will be required regardless of the division we are in next season and I can't see this being achieved with Davey and Co. Although, having said all that, the man making the decision is "just a fan". Ahem.
Your right he has ...... but since he's been in charge i've not been convinced about one single striker he's signed ..... not one ! Hume showed promise but the jury was still out and the rest perhaps barring Boggy who in the early stages has a good goals per game ratio haven't cut it. I don't really disagree about keeping Davey in charge particualy but he needs 2 strikers and a left back this summer minimum along with replacing the players that go ...... De Silva, Jcr, Moore, Muller, Steele, Kozluk, Foster & Colace are all good signings in my opinion but up front he's brought in some utter crap for the mostpart budget spent or not !
he`s a real jobsworth. Theres a few on that bottom area that should have been sorted out early doors this season and he " ignores " what he is employed for. youre right - a few pies too many
I can see it now.
It's the dying moments of the last game of the season and Barnsley are desperately defending their one goal lead. All the players Davey has fallen out with are nervously listening to the radio from on the edges of their seats at home The hushed crowdgasps as holding as midfielder Campbell Ryceloses posession and the opposition players surge forward. Suddenly, as the ball hits the back of the net and Macclesfield sink Barnsley's hopes of avoiding relegation from League Two, Simon Davey has a brainwave.

We need a lot more goals from midfield too De Silva has played 53 games for Barnsley and managed just 2 goals, one of which was actually Macken's. Diego Leon has scored just 2 goals in 41 appearances while Colace has yet to break his duck in 34 appearances. When your midfield offers the team next to **** all in terms of goals you're always going to struggle. A goal scoring midfield player is a priority.
