    On the contrary

Rory did a decent job for us, but we needed the money I guess....

    Very, very harsh

did a good job in very tough cicumstances. The plank that came after him was much much worse

    RE: two stoppers..........

Gudjon did not have any more players than what went out every week. Some players played in the wrong positions because there was no-one else to play there, not because he wanted a fullback to play in midfield because he fell out with all the other midfielders we had.

We had no choice but to sell Fallon

He was on a week to week contract. When someone came in he had to go.

We could only have 21w (i think) players on contract, and he wasn't one of them.

Gudjon did a marvellous job in the circumstances. It all went wrong when Dean Gorre (who ran the show for Gudjon) got injured, and we lost the plot.

But talk about unrealistic expectations....christ we only started the season at the last minute!!

Suppose there was the Ridsdale own man factor to take into account as well.

That's a fair assessment as I saw it

I think Gudjon was seriously undermined by Ridsdale from the outset (because he had been set on by the previous owner).

In essence, Ridsdale wanted him to do badly (which is unforgiveable) so that he could fire him. It makes me wonder who's idea it was to let Isiah Rankin play against us whilst he was on loan at Grimsby.

    I did..

but in hindsight I can see that losing him started the collapse for Gudjon and teh style he had worked out

    RE: I did..

I never rated him at the time anyway he was hardly a prolific scorer for us

Have to admit he's improved with age though

Pretty much agree with that. These who keep harping on about "stability" want to think about what the word really means.
My idea of stability would be to consolidate as a solid mid table championship side. It is becoming quite clear that this will never happen under Davey. How exactly does signing players and then falling out with them after 5 minutes and banishing them to the reserves for ever provide this club with stability?
People who talk about resources compared to the rest of the Championship want to think of the money this guy has wasted on players like Johnson, Christensen, Ricketts etc without hardly letting them kick a ball in the first team.
