RE: Whereabouts in Prague? A poncy bar near the hotel. We heard all about the 30p pints but never actually found a pub selling them
I went to a club in Prague 80p for a pint of 8% lager. Bargain. Got a meal and drinks in a pizza express type place on Wenceslas Square for about a tenner. In fact even less.
Florence... ... posh bar near the river. Round of 8 bottles of corona, just under 100 euros (seestars)
RE: Florence... Thats steep. I'm planning on going later in the year so i hope other bars are more reasonable.
Went on the 29th May.... very expensive now, i remember going 10 years ago and picking up some Armani jeans for £25 when they were over £100 in Boardwalk, its now cheaper to buy the clothes here. Round of three beers was costing us between 30-35 Euros, and yes its nightlife is cack, much like the majority of cities in Italy. Nice with bird but not with the lads unless you were there for footy, which l was.
£3 for Old Moor Porter is reasonable around here I paid £3.50 for a pint of Spitfire yesterday, couldn't get my breath! Some of our beers are expensive, but last week we had ten cask ales on, all where under £2.90 a pint. Not many pubs in London can lay claim to that.
In Muscat (Oman) in 1986 while serving on HMS Ariadne, members of the ships football team were invited to meet Kevin Keegan and Mick Shannon at their hotel, while we were waiting for them to arrive i bought apint of lager and paid £15 English, to make it even worse the guy that served me was a Wednesday fan (robbing Barsteward)
About 8 Euros on a day trip to Milan about 5 years ago, cheapest about 20p in Goa about 12 years ago. Also Goa was the best holiday i've ever been on, made so many friends on just that one trip, i wont go back to Goa because i don't want to spoil the memories i have of that place, if that makes sense.
