Dont' think it was his choice!

And you would really want your lad riding next to him in a tank whilst a million fecking idiots single out the bloke sat next to your lad specifically.

My arse! most sensible military decision made since we invaded!

Agree that he should leave - I would if I was him. If they didn't let me fight I wouldn't see the point in being in the army.

    RE: It's a feckin disgrace!!!

If he isn't going to carry out his duties then he should at least be sent to Colchester. Throw the silver spoon away and live life like a real soldier instead of hiding behing mummy's apron strings! :((

I couldn't agree more, but thats no reason to have a pop at a man for a decision thats not his.

And yes I was in the Army.

Would you like to put a reasoned argument now having read my post properly

First move away from your thoughts on the conflict as that isn't what is being debated.

Yes, everyone knew he was joining the army, my point was that details of him being deployed should not have been released.

    Common sense prevails...

Not in respect of him, but because imagine being in his section of the army out there, practically knowing that you'll be killed one day soon as you're going to be targeted due to him.

Most people who serve in the Army aren't killed, so don't come back saying you've got to expect that anyway.

It should never even have been discussed.

In fact someone in his position should not be allowed to join the Army in the first place for exactly these reasons.

No one is forced to join up mate...

The working class lads you quote all have a choice, if they choose to join the forces they know the risks...

My lad is only 6 years old but I would never let him join up, call me selfish but i'm being honest.

Big respect to the lads that do join HMF...

The state won, we are all doomed to a life that is not of our choosing.

His dad got into Cambridge with poor grades plus 3 attempts

to pass O level maths, so what do you expect? Harry had someone do his A level History of Art course work too didn't he? Totally goes through society too, right down to kids who go to private school getting preferential treatment all over the place. Classless society, my arse!
