stop trying to be a

smart @rse, you can see my point though!?

have we honetly ever signed a player where 1000's of extra fans have thought we'll buy Season Tickets?

but we have signed the right players who maybe not at the start of the season but at the end have increased attendances!

are you telling me there is no way on this earth he could have meant that!?

Link me to the message where I said that.

You said that the signings we made that season were not big names. I disagreed with that. Some of them clearly were, especially Hendrie and Wilkinson - they were players with top flight experience. In the parlance bandied about recently i think you would describe them as "box office". That's all.

    i am

saying that box office palyers for bums on seats areguement do not have to be big name players, but they can be a group of players whic have increased attendances in the long term, which is easily what PC could have meant or did he say that he wanted to sign players thatwill get attendances up straight away?

wilkinson although has come from the top flight does not make him a big name player, although i could be wrong becasue i wasn't into the big team football when i was younger just the reds, Hendrie yes looking back he was but at the same time they are hardly box office, to me that is someone like gascoigne if he signed for us at the end of his career, attendances would go up straight away, that is box office, i am just trying to put a point across that PC could easily have meant a group of players that will do it in the long term, becasue everyone else seems to have seen it as big money signings!

Can no one else see what i am getting at?

Yes, that's fair enough. I just thought some of the examples of players you used were already exciting names to sign before they achieved success, but you are right to say that ultimately it's the success that breeds long term crowd growth.
