    Apparently Bristol have broken their club transfer record in signing him. Maybe we thought £500k was a bit of a push for a 6 goal striker?

    Yeah, always hard to know how much clubs are ‘in for’ players. It might be that us and Wrexham were interested. Media would have you think we’re all engaged in a bidding war for a handful of players, but we’ll probably sign someone under the radar.

    I’m glad we didn’t bring this lad in. He’s not good enough and not what we need. Not saying it cos we were in for him and he hasn’t come but we need a totally different angle.
