    Chennels sticky carpets, disgusting toilets, overpriced fizzy water (£2.80 for Fosters???) and scintiliting converstion with the local tramps.....oh aye we need more pubs like this in tarn.....

    BTW I dont have a pink shirt ripped jeans or flip flops.....!!!

    Thing is though Chennels & Maceys etc have character you dont see anyone eating a £8 Chicken sandwich or drinking Latte in any of them

    I'd rather drink in Blah bar than anywhere else.

    Cocktail bars are the way forward though. Definitely no riff raff in them, apart from me!

    thing is its not that bad at all is it? and what attracts you Blah? for me it is one of the last places I'd choose to go. Nothing wrong with White Bear for more of an upbeat type place.

    Can't really compare Blah and Maceys completely different type of place.

    Thats the trouble pubs like Blah & Lucorum try to be something that they arent, this is Barnsley not Knightsbridge like DJ Fatty Boys say who the **** wants a leaf in a drink bought anywhere nevermind a boozer.

    Give me Maceys Chennels Corner Pin etc anyday

    music not so bad/loud.

    Less ponce chavs. But trendy.

    Maybe you're right. I know Barnsley may not be the trendiest place in Britain, but still...places like Blah bar suit me well. Everyone is different though.

    Lucorum is nice in the summer

    Plus you really don't see many under 25's in there.

    I prefer Blah to Chennels because its cleaner, it plays music I like to listen to and the talent in there is awesome...

    for chennells the opposite of all that...

    If it was a choice of staying in or going to Chennels then I am afraid its staying in...

    you see thats just difference of opinion.

    Blah;

    i. I hear music I don't like

    ii. Expensive

    iii. Full of blokes (of ponced up chav variety, think they are something they are not).

    iv. Unable to socialise or hve a laugh very well as music is too lound, people seem more concerned about posing and whether they think they look good with their sunbed tans and ear rings.

    Thats why I prefer to start in O'dwyers or somewhere at least you can socialise.

    I don't have fake tan or a poncy earing lol. I just prefer that kind of bar to an old mans pub. You can still socialise and chat in Locorum/Blah bar.
