I think you will find that

with JC being the greatest living knowall about the affairs of the club, he should expected to know who he was talking about and quite claerly was having a pop at the questioner, because after all its NOT ROCKET SCIENCE to get the right name is it? but maybe when Ritchie was taking part in traing seesions he also changed the former Chairmans name> Eh JC?

    Whoops............................

Got the name wrong. Of course I should have said Ernest Dennis.

Unlike many of the younger BBS users who attack Gordon Shepard I am old enough to remember the way Ernest saved this Club and the days in Division 4 with 3000 packing Oakwell. If you think times are hard now you ain't lived.

    RE: John Dennis senior?

I did indeed mean Ernest Dennis. The best Chairman we ever had. I would have put John in second place but for the way he handled the administration issue.

Ah, but the idea of the list was for Super Tyke to have a go at Shep.

He's may be too young to have known many of our Chairmen to use as a comparison.

I knew Ernest Dennis' name, you were adament he was called John Dennis senior and that it wasn't rocket science to see that.

I'd just shut up now if I were you, you make yourself look like a bigger idiot every time you speak.

Was it Buckle in charge when a few folk were waving fivers and tenners at the chairman and directors after we sold Beresford. Sunderland game wasn't it?

I remember an incident like that at one of our home games when the protesters were thrown out of the ground.

    RE: Incidentally

That's right. I'm sure it was against Sunderland. For some strange reason the police ringed the side of the pitch too and when some of the protestors were ejected there were quite a few boos.

    'Iley Out' days anyone?

I was reporting what I was seeing with my own eyes.

I went to watch training to see what AR was doing about improving the 0.8 points per game tally not to slag him of.

    2.Shepherd
    3.Lewis
    4.Doyle
    5.Ridsdale (wnkr)

Got to be Dennis at top after our trip to the promised land under his leadership. Sheps done an ok job. Lewis had good ideas but not enough cash or time. Doyle was Doyle. Ridsdale was ex-Leeds and a serial club wrecker.
