I am in Singapore and the Online takes are quite mixed , there is a massive anti-US / anti-West online campaign here and they are all for whacking Ukraine for being puppet of the West and NATO and EU expansionism being to blame.

Admittedly I think Singapore have quite a few of the 50c army from China who like to stir it up racially in Singapore , its recently been about bashing India , but this situation has given them chance to all in on the US again , and they have thrown in NATO this time.

I dont think Singapore will join the sanctions on Russia either am surprised Japan in so soon with backing, maybe they worried about Russia also as they have terrortorial dispute with them too so maybe looking for support.

 

I've heard he's a latent homosexual so he might prefer a Barnsley chopper.

I suppose if you’re into geo-politics or an armchair general then that's a valid viewpoint. NATO has expanded but Poland, the Baltic states were very eager to join. Having experienced first-hand what dictatorships are capable of that’s hardly surprising.

And what they call ‘whacking Ukraine’ I call the mass slaughter of innocent men, women and children. But that’s just me.

I read loads of news sites. Sun, Guardian, BBC, Sky etc. Good to not worship at the alter of one news outlet. They all say things to both agree and disagree with.

The anti-West crowd dont care.

They want to see the commupance after US rampaging round the world as they see it doing what they like. Now Putin showing them as schoolyard bullies who only go in when the folk they fighting cant threaten US.

 

I agree but I see the alternative as war mongering unless Russia forces their hand with an attack on a NATO country.

 

I feel very sorry for the folks in Ukraine and also for those Russians that are gonna pay the price for having a guy in charge living in the 1970s and sees the bogeyman everywhere.
The Russians spouting about denazifying and all that BS , when Russia is almost by definition is a facsist state , mildy amusing.
