    There's no way anyone could have thought Speedie would become a prolific top flight striker when he was at Barnsley. He didn't even play up front most of the time.

    until Jack Walker there best days were far behind them he may have bankrolled their success but the following was average.
    I’m not sure of their past following but A Liverpool or even Everton they are not and never have been.

    Well they have, imo.

    That crowd figure I quoted to you is still in the top 20 attendances at a football ground in England. Ever, I believe.

    You just weren't around when they were big.

    They still tanked us more often than not Fitzy. Once causing a very good friend of mine to invade the pitch (if you can invade something with one person) and tell a Mr A Clarke what he could do with his tactical genius.

    That’s twenty thousand more than Barnsley against Stoke .for a top flight Fa cup game with a team ten miles down the road .
    A big club is a big club when times are hard . We can all count crowds when we doing well . Blackburn are not a big club never have been . There a difference in periods of popularity and being a big club.
    It pains me to say it but Leeds are s big club even when they are sh it.

    Being bankrolled and getting decent crowds whilst doing it doesn’t make you big club.
    Anybody would think they have supporters clubs all over the world and they’re a sleeping giant . Are they fek.
