    Thank you. This is exactly how I saw it, a bit like seeing a new band doing some completely bonkers but exhilarating new music that turns you over and gets you raving and have your mates wondering what you're on about.

    Quite a few years ago John Beck at Cambridge played an unsophisticated long ball game, which used a 5 - 5 formation with no midfield. Our sophisticated system is nothing like that, it is far more effective. What prompted my post was the apocryphal story of Beck’s pre match team talk which apparently was “You’ve already got a point, don’t f****** lose it.”
