    It was Clarke - and the grief wasn't just at the final whistle, there were a group sitting behind the dug-outs chanting "sack the board" and waving tenners in the air from the off, and after about 20 mins or so they got turfed out. My dad reckoned it was Clarkey who asked for them to be ejected. Won the game 3-0 as well against Sunderland, Steve Cooper scored a sublime chip and did a backflip right in front of me. Happy days!

    All I ever used to hear when waiting for the Green 'Uns to be delivered after a defeat as a kid.

    Have I imagined this, or some time in the late 80s or early 90s, maybe around the time of the Beresford sale, two blokes appeared on the pitch at half time with a banner stating "Is Dennis a Menace To Promotion?"

    The person in charge when most of those were sold was a mr. Dennis, **** knows where the money went. . .

    I also recall the fee being £300k mate.
