Question for Whitey and Dyson

I will freely admit Whitey, when it comes to the berk I am blinkered by my dislike for him but I do find it difficult to give him any credit. As Jay says, it's been done to death and no one is going to change their mind (and nor should they) so for me, that means sticking with the view that he was the worst BFC manager ever and a thoroughly awful bloke.

Wow, so much hate towards someone the majority have never even met.

 

They may not have I but I have, in fact both of them.
Still the same dislike though.

 

At first I was gagging to get back to Oakwell, but as time has gone on , I have found that I do not miss it mate, I have not got a clue if I will be at the Yeovil game at all, but probably will be.

Robins was ripped to shreds for using loan players , Hill built his side around one and people think he was unlucky !! Personally I dislike the loan system completely.

 

For me I suppose even given my dislike of the Rochdale Wenger. We have never had a manager in our history as bad as Hill. That's not an opinion it's a fact. All mouth and no trousers as my nan used to say. Other managers gave been dealt far worse hands when we were near the bottom of the old 4th division or in the aftermath of the strike but did better without the constant whinging and blaming everybody else but himself.

The main problem we have whether we go down or stay up is what to do with the deadwood we've been left with by Hill who realistically no one at our level will want. He dealt well with Butterfield who Robibs had already bloodied but the Stones stuff is a lot more up in the air.

I think the question was posed why bring him up on here all the time I'd far more happily read about What Mel Machin is doing myself.

 

I really liked Flicker and so did the mate in my little story and I will always be grateful for what he gave us last season. I was talking about Hill in my post.

 

And to summarise neatly why I still love him, he left nearly 12 months ago and had 107 replies to a thread in his honour.

Little to add to this cyber-sand of time except history will be kind to all the managers we have had since we came back up, especially Flitcroft and Davey. Too many people on here seem totally aghast year after year when we find ourselves in the mire, as if it's beneath us. To me if we go down this season it's not even a case of **** happens, more like thems the odds.
