From what I can make out he is quite approachable. I just hope we can be constructive and pitch forks are left at home (me inclusive)
Re: FAO TheReev deleted my initial response to this i see as i questioned your professionalism in your god almighty role at bbs. Oh how powerful you are mighty one hth
Re: Not as shy as me! Concessionary season tickets for fans who live 50 miles+ from Oakwell. I simply can't afford £100+ days out at football anymore. The club usually says no, if they reply at all.
Re: FAO TheReev You wouldn't have a life Orsen if it wasn't for the hard work Gally and team BBS put into this board. Where else can you talk to yourself and not get locked up?
No I didn't delete it. I was just playing with the moderation settings on here. I was wondering if we should switch on moderation for your account. On behalf of the other posters, we could then filter out the 99% of ***** you post and they could read the once in a blue moon post that is of any value.
My questions (I assume these will probably be touched on anyway). - If PC wins his court case, is he likely to return to his role as "benefactor" of the club? Or will the club be maintaining its current stance of cutting cloth accordingly? - What is being done to attract outside investment to the club? How is the club being sold to outsiders? What exactly are our selling points? - What is an appropriate level of success for BFC? Where are we expected to be 5 years from now? - Are the club (more) aware of other clubs tenuous financial positions? Have we a more stable foundation to build on? Can we move forward by standing still? - What is the main obstacle in signing players for BFC? Is it the selling clubs valuation, agent contractual demands or player wages? - How do the club assess who is deserving of a 1, 2, 3 or 4 year deal?
Ponty end car park £4 a go and 20 minutes to get out.... Its an important revenue stream and a lot of people are going to be put off using it..... So when are they going to organise it so that people can get out a bit quicker?
Are we struggling to sign players on longer contracts or are we being cautious with the budget? What are we doing regarding getting better value out of selling our players especially with short term contracts and young players coming through?
How long cam we continue running like how we are with low Fan attendence before we are in trouble.. If at all this might not happen
Make Barnsley player freely available for a month prior to season starting. use it for advertising and promoting the club, this would increase ticket sales and subscriptions when the season started.
Are the club worried by the drop in attendances in recent seasons and has this had a big effect on the budget of the club?
Can proper space be made available in the car park for motorbikes and pushbikes? St Mary's at Southampton is a proper set up. Also encourage the fact that we deserve to be in the 2nd tier of English football, history shows we have spent more time at this level than the majority of others so banish all thoughts of 3rd division, or 4th bottom is the best we can hope for. Finally get some defenders and a striker signed not more midfielders!!
What's the thinking behind these 1 year contracts. Is it BFC or the players who are requesting the 1 year
Don, How do you think players see barnsley FC when they have been approached to join the club. do they think its a small club with no ambitions but will put them in the window for bigger and better things. and is this why we have to put in silly contracts in place to get these players.
First question has to be "What is the clubs ambition on the field" Is it premiership football, is it to survive in the championship or is it to find a level that suits the finances?
