I could copy and paste Orsenkaht's response. Hopefully things will change. And then I would chance my current stance.

Season ticket holder missed a couple already and Going on holiday for 6 weeks in December. Got offered a cheap weekend in Cork the weekend of the 30th and almost said no cos it’s the last match I could see until mid Jan bit then thought sod it

packed the away days in and not going to restart them.

Ground is ramshackle, match day experience poor and die of our fellow supporters idiots.

Sacking Daniel was an error and trying to scapegoat him for the failings of the plan was shoddy and seen straight through.

ive supported us through thin and thinner but never felt as low as I do now. I feel no link no real feeling for the club. I can’t see me attending next season unless things drastically change. Unless we start making decisions (occasionally) that are solely footballing ones and not designed to make profit it all seems so hopeless.

5 games this year. With the exception of second half at Preston I’ve enjoyed the football. Team has tried and I can see some good passages of play and some good young players. I retire next year and looking forward to getting my first season ticket. I’m part of the Yorkshire coal field diaspora, not easy to get from Cumbria to Oakwell regular. Id prefer to be watching championship football next year but it’s not to be. Accrington Stanley were coming for you...
Got my ticket for Boro midweek, looking fwd. Been to Hartlepool on. Boxing Day with lights failing. Once a Red folks..

I've been a supporter since 1968. My late Father bought me my first season ticket for the 1969/70 campaign and I've had one every year since. Anyone who comes with the condescending 'better fan' attitude to me can shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Results, performances and our position within the football league pyramid have never influenced, or adversly affected, my support.
Over the years, I've usually disagreed with the board of directors and the chairman/owner, be it Ernest Dennis, Geoff Buckle, John Dennis, Peter Doyle, Patrick Cryne or Chien Lee. However, in my opinion, the actions of the current board since promotion has been disgusting, unlike any I've seen in the past. Others claim that nothing which has happened is any different to what has preceeded it over the years. I couldn't disagree more.
The actions of the board over the next few days, weeks & months will dictate whether I continue getting a season ticket in the Spring. Whichever course of action I take, I certainly won't be arrogant enough to dictate to others what they should do with their spare time and disposable income. I can only speak for myself, not for others.

I have only been to one away game all season. I usually go to between 15-20
I have so stopped going to midweek home games and will probably be missing a few more Saturday ones. For example the missus asked me the other day what weekend in December we could go visit some friends who live in Norwich. I said any they can do. I didn't even look at the fixture list.
The the fact this mess is massively self inflicted and that is hard to take.
The continued silence from the club is also very poor. Let's be clear here we have still had no statement of any substance from the club since Stendel left. Just a statement saying we know we haven't made a statement.
Getting into and out of Oakwell is also a massive inconvenience. I don't k ow how much the club could do about that if anything. While not a sole factor it has had a impact on me deciding not to attend those midweek games that I can watch on the red button.
At the moment I have reached a stage where I don't want to go anymore. If this apathy continues until "early bird" time then I will likely not renew.
Once that date has passed then I won't be renewing at all. I will not pay the increased price that follows. If the seasons continues at this rate I think some sort of extra discount should be offered to tempt people to renew.

A chance would be a fine thing. I have a ST and I have only been to 4 home games so far. As I have a 330 round trip it is difficult for me to attend mid-week games so I am grateful (in a way) for the red button on Sky. I have taken the decision not to travel when we are at home and on Sky at the weekend so far. Last weekend I booked my train tickets only for the line between Derby and Chesterfield to be flooded. Thus only 4 home games.

    Thus my current thinking is:

If we stay up (a very big IF!), I will surrender my season ticket and attend when I choose. If, as is likely, even at this stage, we get relegated I will renew. The reasoning is that there will be more Saturday games as we will not be subject to international breaks I may be wrong here, if we keep our under 21 internationals.

I support the team not the manager. I cannot influence the ownership of the club, we get what we are given and hope they act in the best interests of the club. This is not always the case and the current owners are not unique.

I wouldn't rather support a club that lives within it s means that suffer what Oxford, Portsmouth, Bolton, Bury and ourselves a,ongst others have endured in the past and present.

The quote at the bottom was written in another thread on 9th October, shortly after Stendel left the club, and captured my immediate reaction.

I have a season ticket, plus two junior ones for the kids. I've not been back to Oakwell since writing that post, but it hasn't been through any intentional plan to boycott for a certain period of time. I'm just waiting until I feel differently, and instinctively want to watch them again. I watched the WBA game on the Sky Sports App and the Bristol City game on TV, so have stayed in touch with team performances via other means when it's been possible. My anger isn't with the team, and I have some sympathy with them for the situation they find themselves in, which isn't of their creation.

Last Monday was the first time when I felt any desire to go to matches again, which boiled down to the importance of the Stoke game. I spent most of the week expecting to go, but from about 10am on the Saturday morning, the desire just left me (I described it on Facebook as the football equivalent of brewer's droop). By the time I'd received a Twitter update saying that Stoke had score from the halfway line I was immensely grateful that I'd not bothered.

The change in mood may have been to do with the debate around the Supporter Groups' meeting during the week, from which I saw nothing to provide me with any optimism, but the club have done nothing to improve the disconnect I feel with with it at the moment, and the ongoing lack of urgency regarding a new manager appointment and the continued wall of silence (with the exception of that meeting) has ensured that all the anger still remains for now. The season tickets and car park pre-purchase are sunk costs to me, but the time and additional cost of travelling to and from Leeds to get to games feels like throwing good money after bad. I certainly have no intention of bringing my daughters to games in the near future to be sat within a generally poisonous atmosphere. More than anything, it's the emotional toll that's keeping me away for now. The upside of potentially seeing a win doesn't outweigh the downside of seeing us lose. I don't feel like actively taking part in any visible protests, or insisting that the owners leave the club. I just want them to change direction and demonstrate that they actually did learn something from overseeing us get relegated from the Championship 2 years ago. Right now it feels like they're try to out-do that season in terms of incompetence, and I have little faith that this will change in the short-term.

If, as and when I do return to watch games I've already paid for, I've resolved not to spend anything further on the club, so won't be buying programmes, merchandise, etc until I feel differently. I'll also probably cancel my Centenary Society membership for now, but haven't done so as yet.

As for next season, I simply don't know. I'm reluctant to give up a seat that I'll struggle to get back again in later seasons, which is the factor that's most likely to make me renew at the moment. January's transfer window will likely determine that decision, and I don't have any optimism regarding it at the moment.

Short-term, the decision on the next home game is already out of my hands, as my wife is working that day, so there's no prospect of me attending due to being on parenting duty. Finding this out was a relief, rather than the usual frustration, which kind of sums things up.

I don’t see that but I do see you as being a very loyal supporter who wants the best for our club so it saddens me that you feel like this.

ST Holder for 'donkeys' but I won't be getting one next year. Small gesture and probably futile (as I'll still go to games!) but trying to find a way of showing my upset with the Board and their direction of travel. The worst I've seen in over 50 years.

It's not that I'll only attend if we get results (if Reds fans took that attitude there would only be 17 at the match, though that would be announced as 12,471) it's just the Board have really, really really hacked me off. I'll be going away to Swansea, Cardiff and Stoke (haven't been to their new grounds) but the rest I'll pick and chose.

Ultimately 'it's in the blood' so I can't stop going. On a more positive note; this is our Club - not the owners. We're here until we drop so have to find a way of keeping the faith through these difficult times.

Season ticket holder - I will continue to go and will buy a season ticket next season regardless.

If I was a pay on the gate fan who would go occasionally, I probably wouldn't bother parting with the sort of money being asked for with the way things are going.

I'll keep going as long as there's a club.
If we win I'm happy all week, if we lose I'm not happy for the weekend.
I leave the politics to others.

ST Holder - Missed a couple of home games, and haven't been to any away games (this time last year I'd been to almost every game)

Match day experience at Oakwell - not as good. Sorry guys who work there but the Fan Zone is outside, it's cold and there's not enough seating. I prefered Redfearns, and am now meeting friends in town more of the time, although I will call in to the Fan Zone from time to time.

Team - I don't think all players are bad but we need leadership on the pitch. We had a squad that could have moved on, but we dismantled it.

Loss of Stendel is huge. He was the ONE thing holding it all together.

Disrespectful, worrying, and stupid by the owners. The worst bit of "management" by any board at BFC bar none in my 40 years watching.

Not only have we undone all of last season's good work, but we have taken several huge steps backwards. I have never felt so disengaged or unimportant as a fan.
They have my money, but won't get it next season unless things improve. Seriously thinking of doing other things with my time.

    Season ticket holder.
Saturday was the first home game I’ve missed.
Match day experience fanzone a plus not sure when it’s Baltic, service at food kiosk abysmal gets worse but we are told year after year after year, it’s in its final 12 months !
Gutted when Stendel was sacked but I’ve moved on.
Losing every week, not good but that’s Barnsley
The real and only problem is the board action or lack of and it’s going to turn toxic very very soon !
We need to get away from half arsed apathy and let them know how we feel, I’d say about 90% of fans aren’t happy only the happiest of happy clappers are defending this clusterfudge! May not change anything but I’m ready for blowing they are killing our club, no matter which way you look at it.i don’t expect them to do recruitment in the public eye but radio silence for well over a month is appalling and wouldn’t be tolerated anywhere else.

I first watched The Reds in 1974. I've seen some good teams, some ordinary teams and some bad teams in that time. There hasn't been one that has been as uncompetitive as this one though. They are having to bust a gut just to get draws. Maybe it is all deliberate and they are trying to create a storyline for Moneyball 2.

Great post Biglil all of which I’m in agreement with. With the exception of the fact that I will renew. ( its a big part of my social life. Int mount with family and friends at home games. Around 15 sat round each other in the ground. Away games with friends I’ve established over the years. ) It’s your type of comments that the club would stupid to ignore. And I /we had the opportunity to point those things out at the fan engagement.
For those on about the fanzone. Suggestions were put forward to help and resolve issues around the wintry conditions. Also around would it be possible to develop something under the east stand.
