HT has already explained himself, more than you deserve the right to anything further.

There will be dozens on here, myself included, who have not posted anything about Rimmo. For whatever reason.

No conclusions can thereby be drawn.

    Yup, me too.

I haven't commented myself. Not really much I could say that hadn't already been posted.

It's just my opinion that at this moment in time yiadom is more comfortable on the ball he has exellent footwork and control. But james bree is a talent with bags of potential and still only 19? Like I say I've heard a top prem team are in for him but we will see. Problem replying to these posts is if you don't take the op's view yours is wrong. All opinions but like I say I like them both.

I don't agree with the criticism of Hemsworth in this thread. He's got his views, he shares them. I wish he'd post more. He stimulates conversation and doesn't get abusive.

Yes, he's got agendas, yes much of his good stuff gets lost because of that but the way some go on you'd think he'd come on here waving his metaphorical willy about. :)

I don't have a problem with any of our players really. As the season goes on I read posts about one or other needing dropping, as if it's compulsory not to be satisfied.

I'm a bit long in the tooth and have seen too many poor teams and players to be too critical of individuals when the whole package is generally very good.

I don't know if I'm just easily satisfied or spoilt by the quality.

    He's got the building blocks.

He's quick. Decent touch. Quite a strong player with room to improve. He will tackle when he needs to and he's calm under pressure.

going forward he's brilliant with the ball. I mentioned it to someone yesterday. How does he and Watkins feel so confident with a man putting pressure n them to run large distances. Got a good cross.

Personally I would like him to improve on the other stuff but theres nothing more than he needs to learn for a big move.

Got to say having watched Olli J many times at junior level playing for Ossett I take my hat off to him for pursuing his dream and getting a pro contract at Stockport and then at Norwich where he was let go because they got promoted to the Prem . I think he had his injury problems particularly after Norwich but to portray him as someone who thought he had made it then stopped putting the effort in is doing him a disservice

The thing that Hemsworth Tyke doesn't seem to understand is that players improve.

He seems to think that Roberts is still the same player he was 18 months ago because he had a one off bad game against Birmingham. The rest of us who watch him can see that he's still improving.

Angus McDonald is just getting better & better, he had a superb game against Birmingham but you've already set your stall out on him so can't bring yourself to admit you got it completely wrong with him.

Must admit I was wrong about Bree,he's looked a very good prospect recently and had decent matches.

    Long may it continue

Decent yes but has he really had goo games like white and yiadom regularly do when they play? For me he's still our third choice full back as our second choice right back when everybody is fit. And a very capable backup he is too.

He's got potential to be a good player in time but is all the praise of him based on his current performances or future potential? The two are different for me and one is a reason to sign a player the other is a reason to play one

Agree that if white was to play left back Yiadom would be the 1st choice right back.

I'd agree with this. It's a shame that sometimes his valid points and knowledge get lost in his personal agendas but you can just ignore that and talk about the points he makes which are often on the ball.

He certainly starts some lengthy threads!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I tend to ignore threads that bore the **** out of me. This isn't one of them, as it has brought out some valid points.

You don't want to say a few lovely words about a club legend because "I don't feel I have thing to add that's not already been said about him" but yet when it comes to certain players in our team you're more than happy to keep repeating what's already been said about them. At least be consistant. Agree that we got it wrong against Birmingham though. I didn't think Scowen on boxing day was anywhere near our MOTM but he got it. So after continuing our win streak I would have kept the exact same team so it was a shock the only change was to drop/rest the boxing day official MOTM.
