No he isn't. He's not suggesting anything. He's asking people if they think that approach would work. Ignoring bullies and abusers is a legitimate tactic. It can work. On this issue I don't think that is the right tactic. I think calling out racist behaviour is the right thing to do. But, I'm not disagreeing with the OP because he didn't make a statement for me disagree with. He asked for my opinion as a user of this forum and this is mine.
This is the argument I was trying to make. If you don't explicitly resist it by yourself, and don't allow implicit resistance from other sources, who is going to stop it happening? Then, as people start to see it's not being stopped or challenged, what's to stop it escalating beyond just chanting?
