Back to the original post, which no one asked about. Anyone know what was said about the Wednesday situation?
Go to football heaven clips on Radio Sheffield - there's a half hour interview there with a lawyer, he also talks about Wigan's chances at their appeal. He didn't think they stood much chance
I'd like to think I would - but you have to imagine a massive price increase as they'd need some form of system to put in place to stop people watching that haven't paid. This would be quite easy (maybe not cheap) for the web sites, and possibly television, but its a different matter for the radio. I do agree that a licence for a television seems archaic but I hope we stick with it until a better systems (which adverts and subscriptions aren't) is thought of? Maybe it would be better if we just paid for it in taxes but then there is nothing stopping an unscrupulous government just pecking away at it. ... oh hang on.
Does anyone else find it odd that as internet users we detest adverts with a passion and will do whatever's necessary to block them, yet here we have a tv channel that's ad-free and people can't wait to axe it?
