I think the thing that annoys a lot of people with them ... is exactly what you have posted. They are (deliberately in my opinion) missing the point on intention. As far as I'm aware there isn't one of us who would even try and argue that Morgan intended to hospitalise Hume - of course he didn't. There is however a world of difference between an intention to elbow someone and an intention to hospitalise them. Was there an intention to elbow Hume, of course there was. I'm embarrassed that they try and argue otherwise. There have been plenty of balance media analysis that have put it eloquently enough but the glance to the side (seeing Hume coming in), both feet planted on the floor, the lifting (followed by the thrust inwards) before then swinging out clearly demonstrate that there was indeed an intention to throw an elbow. It's farcical that they suggest otherwise. They'd get a lot more respect if they said "we clearly can't be seen to be making a Judgment, that's not for us to do" - but by laughably calling it a 'collision' they've already determined that poor old Chris has been hard done to. I thought they were biased muppets beforehand but this has just confirmed it all the more.
I text them last week I don't think it got read out. If it did, I didn't hear it. Anyway, my text basically said that there was no doubt that there was an intent there. Chris Morgan intended to prevent Hume from getting to the ball. Unfortunately, he fractured the lads skull in the process.
RE: So, in your opinion this was a sporting incident? nt sorry to interject - there was no coming together and jostling - Iain hume came into position to take the ball chest wise and was dispatched by the elbow - clearly aimed by a static chris morgan who knew immediatly what he`d done by the little skip to head the ball and the raised arms to the ref - d`urso knew what had happened and that tw*t of a lino on the west stand side had a perfect view ( i would imagine ) - he msut have had his flag up his arse and didnt take it out until he decided to " help " sheff u
As you say it wasn't "jostling"...
....and to claim it was is preposterous. Even if they had been jostling it was still an intentional elbow to the face which is assault. It's getting to be less and less about football and more and more about how much violence and intimidation they can get away with.

RE: that was Glyn-or Glen-I was swearing at the radio!!........... Something else that hasn't been mentioned much is the high ball they knocked into the box and Morgan went up with Moore, the ball went over their heads and out for a goalkick. Happened just before the Hume incident. I didn't see an elbow but immediately Souza was shouting at the ref and linesman, pointing at Morgan and indicating that he had swung an elbow. Morgan was doing it all game, and the referee knew it.
