Ain't no quality on.the pitch though. Who's to blame for that ? Oh yes the DOF who Nareev thinks is doing a great job even.though he's working to constraints. Club is heading into oblivion if he thinks like this.
Going on what he's said apart from the 5-6 thousand diehards you'd have to be mental to invest in a season ticket.
Agreed Andy. We're well and truly ****** if Neerav thinks we've got a great team and should be Top 4. He's had the wool well and truly pulled over his eyes.
Definitely deluded needs to put the club up for sale with immediate effect. I honestly fear for our future
So Danny Rohl is going to assess his options in the summer? ;-) Neerav, fella. You are a wealthy man, and probably not someone to take advice off a guy who is generally overdrawn every month. But it is clear to all and sundry that if the men running both the footballing and non-footballing side of things were dispensed with, then you wouldn't be sticking your hand in your pocket anywhere near as often as you are. Who is advising you on the state-of-the-nation at the club, and do you really, honestly believe them? Wake up and smell the coffee man.
Well if i wasn’t worried about next season then after listening that i truly am and it also offers no insurance of any thing better next year infact he finally finished on a veiled threat that the club can’t carry on much longer like this.
I think Mladen has done a fantastic job in telling his immediate boss it’s not me it’s Darrell and here’s the spreadsheet to prove it. The word deluded has been used numerous times in this thread and I think it’s very apt for this interview. If this was meant to help shift season tickets I think it may have been an own goal.
The BBS to the rescue once again: without this thread, I might have listened to that interview, but now I can enjoy a nice weekend of blissful ignorance instead.
Which is also concerning because fewer people turning up means less money and hes already said he's not going to keep putting money in. I imagine if thousands stop turning up he will do it even sooner.
Yes, the top 3 or 4 squad comment is a bit bizarre. Under Duff we certainly did, but this season..? Bit mental!
I've listened to it a second time. For anyone else considering doing that... I wouldn't recommend it, it's even more depressing second time around. It's not so much what he says that's troubling, it's the way he says things and the conflict and contradiction with other things he's said in a very short and not very well executed interview... on either side. Realism. But we're going to be investing and we have to because others are but we have to sell players and we can't keep on like this. What? We have a top 3 or 4 team. It's the coaches fault. Not a fitness issue, not a recruitment issue. He wants to keep coaches but sacks them after 10 months. Goes into quite a lot of detail about hiring other coaches. And the way he does it isn't exactly a glowing endorsement to give Hourihane a chance. It could just be poor communication, but he's certainly not helped himself. He's scratching his head why fans aren't happy and are deflated. And finishes off saying the negativity of the fans doesn't help, but it's only a handful. So why mention it if it's a tiny handful and you're only likely to p*ss off a wider section of fans... just a day or two after announcing season ticket renewals?!?! I'm deeply concerned for this club. The quality of our comms from all quarters is abysmal. And that's being generous. Frequency, tone, timing, content. It's just so bad. The decision making has been questioned over and over and some very insightful people have commented at length about those issues. What you expect, no... actually what you need from an owner is an acknowledgement of what the issues are and how you're going to overcome them. That interview was extremely defensive. Didn't really agree with what seem some obvious issues and certainly gave no sign of hope. Even copied a phrase from an ex tory PM. Know your audience Neerav. Though your intentions may be noble. It is blatantly clear you do not have anything remotely resembling a Scooby Doo.
It's partly his fault we're in such a ******* mess financially. Whilst the backing is fundamental to keep the club running day to day, he needs to go away and have a serious look at why we're in such a mess. Allowing Mladen free reign has been nothing short of a disaster. He's cost them significant money in sacking both Collins and Clakre. What a ******* car crash of an interview.
League two here we come next season! I wouldn't trust Mladen to run a ******* bath but apparently he's doing a very good job. The mind truly boggles. Clarke didn't stand a chance with these muppets running the show and it will be the same for whoever they appoint next.
Expected loss next season of £8m-£10m... I find it incredible that our costs are that high, never mind losses, at this level. What's our income and expenditure to hit that much of a loss? Not such a big deal if your income is £300m and expenses are £308m, but if it's £4m income and £12m expenses... that's gross negligence from some parties surely?? I mean what on earth are they doing? I'd be interested to see what the expenditure is of clubs like Lincoln, Exeter, Mansfield, Stockport, Wycombe etc compared to ours.
