    Haif an hour of nonsense, farce and witty remarks set against a beautiful backdrop, full of good actors/actresses of yesteryear. Whats not to like.

    Can understand youngsters not liking it.

    I still love the old ones from the late 1980s with Brian Wylde in his second stint as well as the ones with Michael Aldridge.
    I particularly like the Xmas specials from about 1986-ish when they are looking for a water bed for Barry, and another when Compo wants a present for Nora and gets her a Nora Batty hat. Auntie Wainwright is priceless with her lack of Xmas cheer.
    I find them very atmospheric and very warming. Probably down to age !
    My favourite lines are when Nora yells to Wally, "look at me when i'm shouting at you."
