Carling Premier Lager for me! Carling Premier a cracking pint... in a league of its own but I also enjoy a pint of Coors, Cobra, Grolsch or Birra Moretti
Well weirdly I haven't had carling prem for years but I've just treated myself to a 4 pack to watch the match,
I've started getting into some of the higher strength IPAs recently, but they're not for every day, and certainly not for session drinking. After all, one bottle is going on for over half a standard bottle of wine.
Dogfish 60 and 90 minute IPA are very good, Living in Maryland we arent too far from Dogfish brewery they do a great tour. But not as good as Flying dog which is in Fredrick Maryland The better IPAs are brewed on the west coast, cant wait to go over there and try them out, Brews taste much better on draft than there bottled varieties.

Got treated to the York Brewery tour for my birthday last year. Short & informative but you got a load of beer tokens to use in their tap room - what a great afternoon that was! They do some nice beers.
Colt 45 anyone? Absolute *****, but loved the ad........"Every Tom, Jack or Walt, who likes the taste of malt, will love the malt in a Colt 45!"
Yeah, it's an odd little place upstairs. They always have the Yorkshire score on Ceefax too. The Copper Dragon brewery tour in Skipton is really interesting too. The bloke who owns it used to be a top engineer for Rolls Royce, and the whole brewery is computerised.
I had a bottle of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin in the Tate Modern restaurant. Very nice, but I think actual gold is cheaper.
Classic. Double Diamond works wonders works wonders Harp stays sharp to the bottom of the glass The Castlemaine XXXX ads were quality - "think we've overdone it on the sherry" The adverts were much better than the lagers Whatever happened to Kestrel?!
Used to be a beer in Winter and lager in Summer drinker, but now I'm real ale all the way. Don't get me wrong I do like a lager every so often and my faves are Kronenburg and Tuborg. I just find all lager all too samey, no real variation in the tastes, unlike real ale where there can be vast differences. I do really like a pale IPA or a blonde though preferably. Have any of you tried Devils Backbone which is on draft in Wetherspoons? A real ale but at the temperature of lager, it's also strong at about 6%. Really really nice. Love a cider or scrumpy too.
Anyone remember this Carling Black Label advert from the 80's? It was like 3 adverts rolled into one - you thought the following advert wash advertising something new, like a record, or washing up powder, only for it to be a continuation of the former Carling ad. Brilliant! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Toek6CdldC8
