Just out of interest, you all seem to know the standard of the lower leagues in Scotland, how much of their football do you actually watch?
Excellent news. The right thing has been done for once. Should be interesting seeing how the 3rd div clubs cope with hosting games, although they do it for cup games.
You can only beat what's in front of you. Your original statement was totally disrespectful to every single player/team/fan between the club formerly known as Glasgow Rangers and the Scottish Premier League.
How do you come to that conclusion then? l said Rangers will walk the leagues, they will. Hows that disrespectful? Your reply was quality.
Think Rangers going all the way down is fair, also most interesting outcome from point of view of the 'story'...who knows if they will walk it or struggle as remaining decent players picked off. Shame it came to this.
I don't think you need to have watched much lower league Scottish football to know that a team with 30,000 at least there every home game will comfortably turnover teams getting as many as Frickley.
I thought football was about scoring more goals than the opposition rather than how many people you get through the gates. How the **** did we beat Liverpool and Chelsea?
Scottish fa are trying to get round all this by introducing a Scottish premier league 2 in which Rangers would be invited. Can get my breath
Aye cause Leeds walked L2, and so did Man City. The number of fans has little bearing on it, Rangers will not be able to attract players as they did.
Because we played Liverpool reserves and Chelsea was a one off, how do you think we'd fair playing that Chelsea team 46 times? Can't wait for your next reply.
Really? Man city and Leeds weren't playing against teams with crowds under 1000 even in league 1. We're talking about a team that gets 40k support playing teams with 400/500, comparing them with Man City and Leeds in league 1 is comical to say the least.
No he isn't. Manchester City and Leeds united got relegated to league one due to poor performances, their attendances dropped because of this (like anyones does) and whilst yes they did have slightly more fans than the rest of the league it wasnt by a really large margin was it. Leeds may have got a few thousand more than the rest of the league but the rest of the league were still getting thousands of fans through the door. In the scottish lower leagues they get a few HUNDRED fans whilst rangers will still get thousands and thousands for its home games. This will obviously give rangers a huge financial head start on all the other teams in the league and will mean that it should be easy for them. They will also be able to attract much better players than the rest of the league because of the bigger stadium, extra fans and potential to play at a higher level when they inevitably gain promotion. Not to mention the fact that players will sign for them simply because they are Rangers. Dump Man Utd in league two. They'll still sign better players than we sign in the championship guarenteed.
They're not Rangers anymore, 90% of their team have walked away from them and their attendances of course will outnumber the rest of the division but that doesn't guarentee success. Every game against this new club will be like a cup final for all the smaller teams, anything can happen. Come back when you've actually watched some Scottish Football League.
Yes because nobody apart from you has ever watched scottish football before have they you arrogant little pillock. Just because you're from up there doesnt mean you're the oracle of scottish football does it. You're not scotlands answer to hemsworth tyke.
