RE: Purely based on soccerbase stats Hayes a better scoring rate than nardiello? never! Richards only just down from Dyer? ****!
I think.................... the sub appearances skew things a bit-I haven't the time or inclination to do a minutes/goal which may be more appropriate
RE: I think.................... thought that - but i simply refuse to defend nardiello as i can't stand him. biased i know - lies, damn lies and statistics!
unfortunately................... I have to agree-contrast Chopra-when he first came struggled bit-but knuckled down and did very well-no sign of a prima donna-however Nardy still seems to have a bit of the " I played for Man U so I'm better than this league" attitude-or at least that's how it come s across and while ever that's the case he will not do well
RE: unfortunately................... exactly - yet you get the ones who still dream about his debut every night. nardiello has taken this club for more of a ride than the vast majority.
Also... ...they're career stats - and didn't John Hendrie spend a significant amount of his time at leeds and Boro playing on the wing rather than as an out-and-out striker?
Mine, current batch are obviously bottom of the pile though Hayes could improve.. Ward </p> <font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Chopra</font></p> <font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Hendrie Shipperley Dyer </font></p> <font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Sheron Hayes Wilkinson </font><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Richards Wright Nardiello </font></p>
For what it's worth, this is my opionion (not necessarily based on goals, but on all round contribution) 1) Shipperley 2) Ward 3) Chopra 4) Wilkinson 5) Hendrie 6) Dyer 7) Richards 8) Hayes 9) Nardiello 10) Wright For what it's worth, both Hendrie and Nardiello would have been placed higher, had Hendrie not been a total arsehole following an away game at Loftus Road a few years back and had Nardiello not been a total arsehole last Saturday. Shipperley = Top Striker and Top Bloke
revised list then Hendrie Ward Shipperley Dyer Wilkinson Chopra Hayes Nardiello Richards Wright Chandler Ferry Sheron
1) Ward 2) Hendry 3) Shipperley ABOVE, ALL ROUND CONTRIBUTION/EFFORT/GOALSCORING ETC 4) Chopra 5) Nardiello 6) Dyer ABOVE ON FINDING THE NET, as they can't do owt else, although dyer needed 10,000 chances to bag one goal. 7) Hayes 8) Wilkinson ABOVE I THINK ARE WORTH MENTIONING but still think they were/are crap Richards & Wright OFF THE SCALE, NOT EVEN WORTH PRINTING! don't know what the point of this was, cos you can't compare these types of players as they were in different squads. eg, I am sure if nardiello played in the side that won promotion or got to the play offs, he would have bagged 20+ easy. Put Dyer in in our sqaud now, and he'd be another Richards. Ideally, In my opinion to get the best 2 strike partnership, take one from the 1st three (1-3) and pair them with one from the 2nd three (4-6) and then forget the rest.
