Re Building the West Stand is a Waste of Money

What makes you say that?

Only just got in so don't know whats gone on.

 

whats the point in building a new stand which cant really be much bigger than the one thats already there as it wouldnt get planning permission due to the houses behind it...

it must be safe now otherwise we wouldnt be allowed in it!! I can name many grounds throughout the country with wooden floors too!! I dont doubt there have been plans for it..does not get away from fact it is unnecessary!!! I'd rather see it closed and shut off than the club squnder cash on a stand that will be mostly empty!

the stands on its last legs, one season maybe two left in it before it has to have something done. New roof and extensive refurb or a New Stand. Work it out pal.

 

the school is empty now..getthose house bought... I'd love to see a new stand and a packed Oakwell!!

 

I thought we had purchased the houses years ago. The school is closed and awaiting demolition.

yeh it needs a bit of a refurb!! fair do mate. Theres no way it is beyond repair!

My daughter goes to music lessons. It's Barnsley Councils Music Center thingy... PADS I think it's called.

I seem to remember a few years back that plans were submitted to Barnsley council for a new stand, so if we got the money it would be a straight build process .... am I wrong or just dreaming??

A nice cup run makes us nicely in the profit for this year but with only average gates of 10,000 we arn't really rolling in it...
