I didn't realise it was October already...

As for a dawn or a new beginning... the new beginning started in the summer.

It took years to get the promotion side to what it was. Plenty of awful defeats (Birmingham at home... 5-0, remember that?) I don't expect that either. I simply expect us to improve month on month, to learn and move forward.

They are trying to play the game the right way and every word Hill has said has been bang on. If you don't like what a manager has to say when he's being frank and honest, how can you feel easy expressing your view in the way you do? It's hypocrisy. The fans can tell it like it is because you pay your moeny but the manager has to be quiet and be thankful for whatever grief he gets?

Let them get on with it. I want them to succeed. A defeat isn't the end of the world, a victory isn't utopia either. It's just football.

So the best way to support the club is to stop going and withdraw financial support. Well done we could do with more 'fans' like you. And wanting your club to lose to get a manager sacked is pretty poor. I was no Davey fan and I wanted him sacked but at no point did I ever want us to lose to achieve that - I would have taken success under Davey any day.

    Very harsh.
Why do you keep coming on here with such negative views?
I think that the club can well do without fans like yourself, doom mongering and spouting negativity.
Are you trying to get some kind of a reaction, or are you just once again, seeking?, because I for one, cannot understand why you keep coming on here when you have nothing positive to contribute.
Every post I read of yours suggests that you are desperate for the Club to fail and for Hillcroft to fail.
I wasn't happy with some of the comments Hil came out with and said so on here, but I'm over that now and back them 100%
They want success, want to succeed for our Club and want to play football the right way to entertain us all, what is wrong with that?
I believe 100% that we will stay in this Division under their management and if they are given time we will gradually see year on progression.
They are passionate and the players like playing for them which will breed positivity and endeavour amongst the squad which will in turn infiltrate to the fans.
Please stop coming on here with negativity and slagging off the Club.

    New Beginning

I'm an optimist. I remember one season in the 80s (might have been 86/7) when we'd only won 4 league matches up to 31st December and were several points adrift at the bottom. My dad, a more typical Tyke than me, kept on about being down already and I just kept saying to him that you never can tell. Anyway on New Years Day we won 4-3 at Hull and went the rest of the season losing only 4 more league matches, avoiding relegation comfortably in the end.

The team will have gained a lot of confidence from last saturday so the general level of performance should improve.

Fingers crossed for the Millwall visit.

    Up The Reds!

Referee has perfect vision and we win 2-0

But that's football, it's the result that matters.

Only you could put such a negative spin on what was a fantastic result

We're 4 games into the season, on a shoestring budget, with aa new manager and an almost brand new squad (10 signings, plus the likes of McEverly and O'Brien featuring more than they did last year), we're going to take some time to settle down. We've played 4 teams who are all tipped for promotion, and come out with 4 points, that's pretty good going tbh. We've just to make sure we beat the likes of Peterborough, Palace, Watford, Coventry, Doncaster, Derby etc, all the teams tipped for relegation, and we'll be laughing.

Give it at least 10 games, before you start with the "this club is going nowhere" speach again.

Weve had more success at this club than a helluva lot of teams of our stature and bigger, so how some people can say we'r not ambitious or bothered is beyond me but one thing he is right about, like it or not is that some supporters are not as committed as we are to the cause.and the club needs to win them over. i suppose ther'll be lots of opinions of how the club try's to do this , probably someone with a lot more knowledge than me. meanwhile all we can do (the 10,000 or so) is do what we do and support our club and please stop booing the team especially so early into the season. lets show em just what B.F.C means to us and maybe the'll come back.
