We lack a threat up front.

Simple as that. I don't blame the manager for the fact that we're toothless up top. Said it ages ago.

Sacking the manager won't change it. We did OK today. Apart from scoring and Brittain I'm afraid not doing his job.

Look at the stats. They correlate to what I believe I've seen. We can play it about, like we did under Struber, but we need the threat up front.

Without it, and without Val's shock and awe tactics, we're going down.

We lack intensity in our play and that’s down to managers style of play , or lack of style

But his decisions during the game just continue to make things worse He's ******* clueless and miles out of his depth managing a championship club.

Looking at the stats we were in front in almost every one except the goal for stat .
Reading were absolutely woeful worse than us apart from being able to muster a goal .
Best Reading chances came from our passing ,
Best striker we’ve got taking free kicks out wide and corners ?
Odour is not a striker Mr Schopp !! Victor needs to be gone to make way for another wage, he’s hard working and tries his best but he’s just not good enough ,loses almost every battle and a touch like a baby elephant .
We not fit at all ! Even Reading commentators remarking about our defenders blowing and making mistakes because of it .

If I was in a shower and a bloke winked at me I'd not be there to hear him say "everything will be ok"

Definitely a pattern forming of snatching at things and panicking when we attack and then being exposed at the back to a single pass putting someone clean through, something has got to change instantly because we are a soft touch to every team we play.

Brittain came out after the Forest game and publicly went on record to say that they do very little final third work on the training pitch. That they are left to play "off the cuff" in games.

That's 100% the head coach's fault and nothing can excuse or justify that.

In fact, if we are 'light' up front, then a decent coach would be spending his time working on patterns and set pieces to maximise the potential we have on the books.

    Schopp has done neither.

I see little to no management skill in anything he has done (or failed to do) at BFC. He's the worst I've ever seen.

Howie and Rob Statton on Radio Sheff said if we added Dike and Mowatt into that side and we win by 3. They thought some blame has to go to poor recruitment

Tbf he’s not a manager he’s a coach but there’s very little to write home about that.

I wonder if Brittain went on about how they work on covering their runner. Cos that's the reason we lost that match.

We get enough bodies into chances to score, but they don't have the ability.

If you think that it's Scopps's fault that they've not scored today, then i disagree. We played well enough around the rest of the park (with one exception) to get something today. Reading weren't missing chances left right and centre. We were.

Yep, just under 8 full games ago. Or 11 hours and 53 mins if you prefer.

Not sure on that but quite possibly and probably. If you look at which players are missing from last season’s squad, and then who was available today, it really highlights that we’re probably a bottom six team at the moment.

Missing from last season; Morris, Madds, Styles, Kitching, Sollbauer, Mowatt, Dike, Halme, Sollbauer, Chaplin, Kane

Available today; Gomes, Hondermarck, Iseka, Cole

Schopp might not be the right man but this squad is really poor right now, and considering all that, deserved to win today.

Which decisions? Because I thought Oduor came on and got on the ball and involved in a couple of decent moves down both sides of the pitch. I know we like him to be the scapegoat these days, but that sub isn’t the reason we lost.

We're missing Mowatt more than anyone else imo.

I thought Woodrow was supposedly one of the top strikers in the championship ? Schopp needs to find a way of getting him on the end of things instead of endless potshots. Reading had a player clean through and fluffed it then luckily for them they got another player clean through and scored, which is happening to us game after game.
It's 100% Schopps job to come up with a solution and making us hard to beat instead of being wide open to one pass would be a start

I agree with this. For me I'd have tried to get an experienced midfielder in as my priority close season.
