Wages are a problem that's why we need to make more use of the academy. Players that come through the ranks don't have a wage expectancy and so can't miss what they haven't had. I'd also like to see senior players make less use of social media and showing off what they have. That just shows younger players that they need better agents instead of working for what they can achieve.

I wasn't intending any criticism of your point. I understand the realistic situation of our club and how it has to be run. The point is more about footballers, their agents and the pfa in peddling bs propaganda about how they have to take advantage of the game while they are in their "short" career. That to me is a major reason why football is in such a financial mess. Its unsustainable and players wages need cutting and capping. There is no realism in their arguments for more and more pay and something needs to be done by the governing bodies before there are no football clubs left. They just live in their own bubble and hopefully covid 19 will burst it.

Picking up on your point about academy players to which I totally agree with you , I actually think that we are already feeling the benefit of this , Williams , Palmer , Wolfe & Walton all played their part in the " Great Escape " & hopefully they will all progress & play important roles in the championship with us next year , I do not think there are many other clubs in our league that have a similar nucleus of academy products in their match day squads . ps , I forgot to add Marsh , who did not get game time but surely is one who will be included on a regular basis next season.
