Did that happen or are you just teasing Jay with a story that includes all his fantasies.

Related to the Gallacher family at a guess. Nice quiet unassuming chap, lived at darton when he first moved down here. Was a dark blue material with black pattern as I remember.

And as for IOWT, that story doesn't involve a large black man and a tin of treacle so not all of Jay's fantasies are there.

My best friend lives on the same street as Dale Tonges mum and dad in Bolton, and I went to school with Jon Parkin and Ant Kay (although he was a year younger than us)

Don't think they ever played for senior BFC squad but ....

... Jimmy and Brian Greenhoff were in the Barnsley Boys Under 11's team coached by my dad.

When Jimmy was 11, Brian was only 4?

Must have been a hell of a player for his age! :D

    Mick McCarthy......

Fixed me up with interviewing the 80/81 promotion team for my Social Studies thesis. Top bloke! I've seen him a few times since and he always says hello.

Steve Agnew was the year below ours at school - nice lad he was.

Got up for a midnight trip to the loo, a found B M creeping around the landing in my house in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Said hello & went back to bed thinking - that was Brian McCord. (chinny)

Macca once offered me a lift from Manchester to Barnsley

... but I declined - 15 years old at time - he was playing for Man City & I was on a tour of the ground.
