Is this before or after the 80% mob have sold Mowatt and Woodrow on the cheap in the last hour of the window giving us no time to replace either like they did with Moore although to be honest they obviously never intended to replace Moore because the haven't in the two full windows since he left

On face value that looks a decent shout, big combative player with a career record of goal every 3 ish games.
Only negatives are never played higher than L1 and despite having a decent record everywhere he has gone he’s not been given a chance at higher level(?).

Don't think so. He's been on loan at Wednesday a few times

He's played a handful of games in the Championship for Charlton, albeit 6 years ago.

He's been linked with Reading recently. I think the issue is, players with championship experience are already on wages outside of our reach.

I agree that Pigott would be a gamble, but he's one worth taking in my opinion.

I’d argue that him turning up vastly overweight and not being able to run was more of an issue than how bad Wednesday were. And they were SHOCKING!

James Collins at Luton? Strong, decent in the air, a bit of nastiness about him and would give us an alternative we definitely don't have atm. Surely we could compete with Luton's wages? In fact, according to this piece he's only on £3,500 pw. https://footballleaguefc.com/luton-town-2019-20-player-wages/. Might not be accurate but could they pay him much more than we could afford?
Won't happen but he's the sort of player I'd like and would really help us imo.

Luton wouldn't sell Collins to us for a sensible fee, and in any case, not convinced he'd leave them for us.

That's the difference between a football club and a retail outfit.

Love to get Wickham in, good friends with his dad ( in the army together) watched him progress from Ipswich to where he is now, been very unlucky with injuries, and he absolutely detested Roy Keane at Ipswich, said he was an obnoxious bully and was hated in the dressing room by many of the players

Who we should sign and who we will sign are a million miles apart with this board. Who we will sell at bargain basement prices is much easier to guess.

If we don't get Randell Williams, another wing back option could be Cohen Bramall from Colchester. Very pacey and takes set pieces for them I think.

Tristan Abrahams looks a good player too at Newport. Not the best goal record but reminds me a bit of Jacob Brown. Battles really well, has pace and strength as well as being ok in the air. Not the target man type we really need but could be another option.

Rudy Gestede - wages could be an issue here, but very experienced target man in this league. Won't score a huge amount of goals each season but will be a pain in the backside for defenders to cope with.

Jordan Obita - Left back with lots of experience in this league for Reading.

That Pigott looks a decent option.

There's a few free agents mentioned here who we usually wouldn't be able to sign because of wages, but with them being free agents this late in the game it woulf be worth making an approach for some of them!

Green and Gestede mentioned above look llike potentially good options. I'd go for Jackson Irvine.
