I remember the days prior to 96, and for the majoirty of the seasons a successful one was being safe from relegation by Easter!

Problem with football today is that no one has any patient, and progress is always expected - i.e a better finishing position year on year.

However, that can't happen to every team and there comes a point where a team has reached it's level for a while. I'm not saying that we've come as far as we can - I do hope we can push on for bigger and better things, but the reality of it may be that we have reached our level for the next few years and people do have to accept that or stop supporting.

I don't think this is helped by the sometimes knee-jerk reaction of chairman to sack managers for their team not challenging for promotion.

some things right and somethings wrong ie will never do it at this level knee jerk reactions are things that are based on immediate events notrepetition things that have been happeninfg for months/years.KO is right u there with the worst strikers we have ever had his conversion rate is? .A crap performance is a crap perfornmance no matter what you compare it to. We have recently lost to Forest Southampton and Norwich unlucky or not we lost!
Imaptient we have shown many of the same shortcomings for season after season, Simon Davey inherited a struggling Championship outfit we are still a struggling Championship outfit.
In short please do'nt patronise fans who go week after week and simply do not sharte your views

I just think back only a few seasons and watching us in league 1.

Yes I'd love us to be doing better and at times we struggle but it's way better than what we were getting - very short memories!
