RE: You uneducated fool. Ooh...explain to me what is 'uneducated' about what I've said. Now, not knowing the history of the town you profess to care about...that is uneducated.
RE: Well if you are older than 15 i would be shocked with your teenage ramblings. Obviously nothing that you cared passionately about then. Can't say I'm surprised really.
People are expected to verbally abuse others anywhere. Oh sorry, you were 'only having a laugh'. Grow up.
RE: You uneducated fool. You can't. They just like to celebrate their ignorance and you'd only be wasting your breath.
Do you care about respect for women and children pontender? How do you think parents of young children felt? Do you really have so low standards of decency?
they (forest) chanted as much back 'you'll never work again' 'arthur scargill is a w*nker' and such. i was sat to the left of the goals facing pitch it was very loud, in my opinion they weren't clueless. but i suppose it depends where you were sitting and the fans you heard. agree we could have had more 'barnsley fc' chants. Then again we were once nicknamed 'the colliers' it's a part of big part of Barnsley's history i was expecting to hear them. i think you just have to accept it's guna happen, like we are called 'dingles' by every other club in south yorkshire. am sure we won't be the only set of fans chanting scab to the forest fans. Am sure when Forest come to oakwell you will hear the 'scab' chants even louder, if it offends you take an i pod or summat or get a song set off. maybe it just wouldn't be a barnsley v forest match if we dint hear it?
That is absoloutley stupid. Yes i get uncomfortable around drunks who shout and swear every 2 minutes. You dunno what they are capable of. And yes i am up for a laugh most of the time but i dont need to drink or constantly shout pointless things at people.
RE: You uneducated fool. What about the ignorance of those who cannot appreciate that some people still feel bitter about it all. Doesn't matter how long ago it was. Yes - there are those who just shout it out because the rest do. But there are many who still shout it with feeling. What things do you feel bitter about? List them here and I'll put a time limit on them for you.
RE: You uneducated fool. Unhappy about people like you who are unable to consider others and have no decency at all. You think you do your town any favours at all? You take Barnsley back to the dark ages.
RE: Do you care about respect for women and children pontender? I don't really get your point. Are you saying 'scab' is a swear word that will upset youngsters? I thought the point people were making was that the youngsters didn't have a clue what it meant anyway. It would upset women and kids as much as shouting 'dee-dar' at Sheffielders.
RE: You uneducated fool. Ok, you believe that because you feel bitter about something that happened twenty plus years ago, you have the right to verbally abuse a generic group of people who may or may not have something to do with it (many of whom weren't even born)? On top of that, you believe that you have the right to impair my enjoyment of a football match with your misguided bitterness? Human rights are built on 'freedoms to' (associate, speak, thought and conscience etc), but also 'freedoms from' (torture, slavery etc). You're quite entitled to your bitterness, and you can retain it for as long as you like. Just go and find some reasonable and proportionate method of dealing with it - because I'm not sure that you found it at the football match.
