we'll never ever get a decent national side when the majority of the players in the premiership are foreign.
When I was a kid, I played for a team that had an awesome striker up front. He'd been at Barnsley academy for a few years, but had been released. He still retained that attitude though, the one that makes you think you're a superstar at 15. And he was lovely person with it, to both the opposition and his own team-mates who he deemed below him (being goalkeeper, I was obviously one of them). He quit the following year because we weren't good enough for him. That next season the team spirit returned. We also won more games. Now, I'm not saying that any of this applies to John Terry, however would wager that there are several players in that dressing room who prefer it without him. Additionally, maybe his form has returned because he is playing fewer games and he has more time to recover between.
I'm not sure about bringing Terry back, he's definitely our best defender but I get the impression he's despised by everyone except his team mates. It's heavily rumoured none of the United & Liverpool lads get on with him
It was a friendly at a vital stage of the domestic season. The players will be taking it easy so not to injure themselves for the rest of the season and even the world cup.
Was a friendly against a Denmark side who in recent years have been a useful side. If they played like that in a qualifier I'd be worried but it wasn't so all good.
