Few short years ago we lost 6-0 at home to Charlton. Reds were applauded off the field for a magnificent effort. Gave it everything but not to be. Today it would be hang the manager.

John Aldridge scored 3/4 if I remember rightly. John King the Tranmere manager. Couldn't believe what had happened.
Biggest travesty of a scoreline I've ever seen Watching Barnsley. We (in the car) were totally bemused at what we'd witnessed coming home from the game.

Port vale was nowt compared to that. They dominated the first part of the game. and we were lucky to be still in the game. But then took over once the 1st goal went in.
