Scrap the stupid halftime target challenge and bring back the 'Ponty Penalty Shoot-Out'. Advertise that people are wanted to take part. £10 per successful penalty to spend in the club shop.

Does anyone on here actually know if we could get these ideas sent to someone at the club to consider and maybe put something into action?

I doubt we can afford to be putting on free coaches etc, especially to an away match when you're just really putting extra money into Wednesday.

Use the unused exec level in the East Stand to build a new social bar, it'd be a start.

How about a loyalty card for none season ticket holders. Buy 4 match day tickets and get the fifth match free!!!!
    Or something similar!
Get the forgotten few who pay full price as and when they can get, to get to their fourth match and then another!

    Re: Free tickets to schools

Teachers/and or parents. The club could work with teachers and parents, to show the positive side of getting the kids involved and interested in football locally, in a bid to get them to buy into it. They could also work with local coach companies to provide transport at subsidised rates.

We don't get any revenue from the club shop do we? Just Sport pay us a set fee each season.

Grasp at what I'm trying to say. Look further than just the matchday money. The club needs to start implementing schemes to get fans back on board. Things like this every now and again would go a long way to doing just that. The club did it for Southend away and loads of people took the opportunity to make the journey down there on a cold Friday night to cheers the lads to a 1-0 victory. That type of support can make a whole lot of difference away from home.

Exactly. Teachers. They've babysat your kids all week and now you want them to do it on Saturdays in their own time.

Rather than teachers I think it should be green grocers. Or, what do you do Poet? I think it should be your profession who looks after the kids on Saturdays.

Re: Doncaster Rovers have launched a 'Fan Engagement' project

Basic things like food and drink within the stadium. People that choose to eat within the ground, simply want good quality, fresh food at a decent cost. At the minute, the food served up is downright awful, and expensive to boot. It'ls all well and good saying bring you're own food, but it's a day out and you want to be able to access some decent grub at the game, for the right price, if you choose to.

Serving up some good quality, fresh, warm food at a reasonable price IS NOT difficult.

The cheeseburgers they currently sell are disgusting.

I grasp it mate. My point being all of your schemes seem to be 'let's give some stuff away for nowt'

I agree there needs to be something but I don't think we have the cash to just give lots of stuff to people to get 'em back. It needs to be a little more inventive.

What about less promotions, less need for advertising? Ditch all this category, membership, loyalty, keep your stubs, special offers, buy 2 get discount, advance tickets crap and just keep it simple. All that marketing has to be paid for somehow.

    Re: Free tickets to schools

That's a bit of a ridiculous point you made there mate.

Teachers (for the most part) are in the job for the love it. To teach kids and improve them. You make it sound like they are mere babysitters. This wouldn't be every single Saturday, but every so often, giving the kids a chance to see the team and players they've heard so much about via the marketing tools used. A mixture of teachers and parents, taking advantage of free tickets and giving kids that exposure every once in a while isn't asking for blood.

    Yes, yes, yes.

Nearly every game has some kind of promotion. Rather than do a million offers, just make the initial price lower, tell everyone at the start of the season and stick to it throughout the year.

    Fewer promotions, cheaper base rate.
