    Ah yes..... The Drum. Had the odd drink in there whilst on my travels around the borough for whatever reason.

    I once stopped off in afoementioned establishment whilst walking home one Sunday from a mate's house in Shafton. Very lively it was too:D

    I was a Limit lass and Penny's on a Wednesday. Actually did a bit of djing at the Limit. Rumour is there are plans afoot to try to open another Limit as a retro club.

    The Limit.....

    Excellent club. Somehow, i can't see a retro club being anything near the special atmosphere you got in there. Bumped into quite a few mates from Barnsley in there over the years too.

    It was a proper mucky hole

    Lousy seating, holes in the stage and a sticky carpet rivalled only by the downstairs in the No7. It stank and the bogs never worked for a full night. It was still the best music, had the best looking people and all the local bands hung out there.

    Also met the love of my life in there.... unfortunately i didnt marry him when I had the chance!(L) (L) (L)
