Won first five in league ...lost to Torquay in front of 12664....my first match Sent from my GT-I8200N using Tapatalk
I mentioned a few years ago about doing one when Wolves came to Oakwell a few years ago, they were champions and we had nothing to play for, Macca was in charge of Wolves in those days. Everyone said it was a crap idea then. I still think it shows respect, and you never know Wigan may "Help" us out
I'm afraid you're mistaken. That Torquay defeat was the sixth league game of the season, following being unbeaten in the first five. It was the only defeat of the first 12 league games.
We beat Halifax and York at home We beat Crewe, Bradford City and S****horpe away Then, when we had a nailed on win against Torquay at home to make it six we blew it. Les Lawrence ran the show for them up front.
Can't see why we would just for "tradition". Anything like that which takes the focus off the task ahead shouldn't happen. Fair enough if at full time we congratulate a team getting promoted from the third division with premiership parachute payments. Hardly a Leicester (as much as I didn't like it) winning the premier league story.
