    For me it's :-
    1.Conor Hourihane
    2.Andy Yiadom
    3.Sam Winnall
Having said that. I think all our players who are playing regularly have all dealt with the step up in class exceptionally well.

    Has nobody mentioned Sam Morsy?
He's quietly efficient and takes a lot of defensive responsibility away from Conor. I think he'd be in my top 3. Although it's difficult to pick a 3 from:
Hourihane, Winnall, Davies, Yiadom, Morsy, Watkins and Roberts!

    1. Hourihane
    2. Yiadom
    3. Winnall

Hourihane #1 for certain. It seems absolutely crazy putting Winnall at 3 but there have been times when I've felt we needed to sub him to freshen things up a bit or when he's looking a bit lost (normally through no fault of his own to be honest when he is isolated up top). His goals alone allow him a shoe in within the top 3 though.

Like others have said, I feel Josh needs to be up there somewhere. Him and Marley are the two where I often think the game is missing at certain points. Maybe the reason I haven't thought that about the others though are because the are ever presents? I can't feel we're missing Hourihane or Davies for example because they are already there. There's too many good players and not enough room within the top 3 which is a lovely problem to have!

Agree absolutely in that we have looked better with Scowen and Watkins than without and they have made the difference when they return, hence my choosing them.

I think the only match I've seen without Hourihane this season was Bristol City and again, it told massively. The amount of chances he creates and passes he plays to get us on the front foot is immense.

Absolutely, they all look just as good (if not better) at this level as they did last season. The only previous occasion that basically the same squad has stepped up a level like this was 1981/2.

    1) Conor.

    2) Conor.

    3) Conor.

    OK.....

    2) Davies for his clean sheets, amount of games he's played as an everpresent and the stability his position brings.

    3) Winnall because goals win games.

It kind of sums up his Oakwell career so far.

Let's hope he can push on when he comes in for Yiadom.

    1) Our beloved Conor.
    2) Winnall
    3) Bree

Conor because how many assists can one man actually get! Add in goals like at Forest and there's your number one.
Winnall = goals. Been so impressed with the way he has shut the doubters up and just upped his game to genuine championship level.

Bree is a left-field choice. As a player, there may have been better performers in the team this year so far (Scowen, Yiadom, Roberts, MacDonald, Watkins) but the way he is now finally realising the potential we all know he had, cementing a place in the team, becoming a real powerful athlete and all whilst stepping up a division in the process, is so impressive. Hence why he takes third on my list. And he's only 19!

And he's one of our own.

    Well played lad!

    1: Hourihane

    2: Yiadom

    3: Macdonald, Davies, Winnall.

Everyone has been great this season and it's a very hard pick but Hourihane has been the standout player out of all of them.

Got to be Hourihane. Best player in the League nevermind Barnsley.

Late on the threads today. Yiadom I think for me, mainly as he's excelled in both full back positions. Hourihane though, what more can you say about that guy?

Conor, Davies & Yiadom. No explanation other than they are my favourites to watch.

Most consistent (which would get my vote) Andy Yiadom.........by a street mile.
    Most influential Connor

    Hard to choose imho

But Yiadom for me - stepped up 2 leagues and played out of position.

It's a tough one because the majority have stepped up into the championship and have done very well.

The one I'd choose over the rest is Hourihane though, as he is more comfortable at this level. He's a better player in his current role than at any other time in a red shirt.

That shouldn't detract from any of the others because the majority of the other lads aren't far behind him.

Basically, he probably means that he's never heard of any of our players, therefore, their overpaid waste of wages must be better because they've played in the Premier League, Serie A etc.
