RE: Even if someone did let us down last minute

maybe...Davey wanted Sorenson/Nash but that fell through - and he now intends to play Letheren but had to sort out a sub keeper i.e. Steele

(its one thing not having a sub for a championship game - but I dont think he'd take such a gamble in a high profile game v Liverpool, where everyone would remember him making the mistake of not having a sub keeper)

What if we'd signed an unknown German goalkeeper from some Norwegian club instead? Everyone would be moaning at that and look at Muller.

Davey must think he's a better keeper and that should flipping do. Jesus.

    surely...

letheren has to be the better option??? he knows the team well, hes been training with the same players the past 2 years which must mean something when playing a game like this!!

whereas this steele lad has played 7 games in 3 years and he doesn't know any of the players meaning none of our defence will know what he's like or owt which will lead to the defense having no confidance in this luke steele at all

There's some **** talked on here

Yes I would have prefered Nash or Sorenson who wouldn't

But Steele is more experienced than letheren. Davey & co see letheren week in week out, will know his ability level and clearly think he's not up to it.

BTW I thought he did ok when he got half a game earlier in the season.

I understand that they see Letheren Day in Day and think he isnt up to it.

However what makes them think a goalie who has barely played a game is???

Not saying he's any good indeed the baggies fan seems to think otherwise.

im glad we've managed to get the scraps from elsewhere

or we might have had to resort to playing one of our own players

Just done a quick count and in the 47 games that he's played he's let in 85 goals which is 1.8 per game. He's been able to keep a clean sheet in just 7 games so far.

RE: Why not for a change

You are talking about the man thats sees Mostto and Odejayi everyday and still picks them, FFS.
That is not a very good rep is it?
How the hell does he see a Man Utd keeper everyday anyway?

Looks a bit Flinder-ish to me

More experience than Letheren but not the maturity and presence I was hoping for.
