    I left in 1982 when i joined the Army, family that were there moved away while i was serving so i have never been back.

    I was an RAF civil servant at that time working at Air Command HQ at Walters Ash. I preferred Risborough but Aylesbury was ok in parts. We lived next door to the Leisure Centre which had a terrific indoor and outdoor pool, both linked so you could swim through to the outside even in winter. The water was so warm so no problem there. I miss Buckinghamshire having lived there for over 7 years.
