So you'd play our left footed left back on the right wing?

Firstly by his own admission white is a winger

I would continually rotate hammil and white

Whatever he is, or thinks he is, that left wing combination of Hammill and White is working fine for now, and will probably generate plenty of excitement and goals between now and our promotion in May.

I'd leave him where he is and give James Bree half a dozen games to make that number 2 spot his own. He already has the shirt.

White and Hammill link up very well and have got a good understanding, should be left as it is.

This season has become what it is and like it or not, I think Isgrove is our best and probably only option on right wing.

We are starting to field a settled side and performances are improving

I think the last thing we need is more upheaval to this settled side by moving players out to unnatural positions, etc

We'd get destroyed with Digby in the middle.

So you believe Digby is, when fit, our most talented player. And you object to extending the loan of a player who, although poor at first, has been much improved in the last few weeks?

    Righto.

The pendulum swings from one side to the other..........he's crap one week..........he's great this week

Vast majority only a few weeks ago were all wanting Lee Johnson out..........looks like tyrone1 has stuck to that view
    Others haven't

This thread sums the season up nicely for Barnsley..............TURMOIL

On the evidence my eyes have seen, totally agree with the OP about Isgrove, who seems to have recently wooed a number of posters with his only trick of running reasonably quickly with the ball in an open field with nobody around him before losing it or going down a blind alley, that's on the rare occasions when he gets involved at all (cf Hammill). Don't agree with the OP about Digby.

I note from the thread that a number of the OP's detractors have employed the familiar tactic of turning it into a question of "what would you do" and then buried his response. However, surely the question for all of us should be is why after nigh on a year our Head Coach has not developed one single legitimate option of our own for the right side - he's the one in charge and earning the vast salary, not tyrone1!

We've got a fairly settled side that's winning games and now some want to do exactly the opposite of what they've been wanting all season.

"continually rotate Hammill and White" why?! Let their understanding get better. Let Hammill use his trickery and when they double up on him let White bomb past him on the overlap and make use of the space. Maybe let Hammill drift inside and again have White use the space on the outside. That's a combination teams would fear.

Besides which Hammill loses his ability to cut inside and shoot if you swap wings. Why remove his goal threat?

I don't really see how Isgrove can be described as weak. He's small but he doesn't half get stuck in & wins a lot of headers & battles with full backs a lot taller than him.

He's technically poor though, no idea how a winger who doesn't have a feint or trick or any great passing range has stayed at a premiership club with a top academy for so long.

His game is literally run, run & run even more with lots of battling qualities.

He's definitely good enough for league one though so I'm happy he's staying with us

Keep the faith, we will be.
Last three League games we've been really good and Hammill & Isgrove have looked quality along with White & Watkins.
You obviously didn't go to Shrewsbury otherwise you'd be far more upbeat. We were outstanding and looked like a team too good for the Division - a massive turnaround from the carp on offer up to December. Don't know what's caused it but we look a really good side again, I just hope we turn it on again against Rochdale.
