Can you post the "Chairman"'s specific quote about selling our best players please?

I just need all the info prior to buying my season ticket.

 

I struggle with the idea clubs are gonna come in and offer us money for 4 of our starting 11. And if they do, I can't imagine it'll be anywhere near the type of money folk will expect.

 

We need to stick with the 4-3-3 now.I don't mind too much if we get a couple of tonkings before the end of the season.Get half a dozen new experienced players in to play that formation and keep hourianne.Shepherd and Lopata to come back plus I'd give Dallas a chance.Obviously Pines, McCarthy (didn't play too badly today but not often)Degiveny,Benson, Rodriguez, Cosgrove,Marsh can go.Need to make a decision on full back/wing back roll.I would retain Watters purely for the graft and press but we must invest in a quality striker for this level.Im undecided on Lewis because I haven't seen enough of him.

 

Would like to see a similar line up today going into next season...

Well done all involved today. Probably one the best performance at Oakwell since back end of last season questions are why as it taken 40 odd games to get here? Will Whoever the manager is next season will he be able to improve the current crop including the saleable assets or will we be back to square one with a completely hollowed out squad? Mr Chairman the ball is in your court may I suggest you start looking around for some investment rather than the usual wholesale demolition of the squad by selling off the better players.

 

I can honestly say that’s the best I’ve felt walking out of Oakwell for a very long time. Brilliant.

 

Promotion push after next season? Why not next season?

 

I think people are getting a bit carried away...First half great, but second half could easily have been 2-2 before Jalo got the third.

For the last two or three years we’ve chosen to sell as few players as possible and give ourselves as good a chance for promotion as we could have. That will have to revert to the model where we have to sell a few players in the summer, like a lot of clubs do. But we will reinvest into the squad as we have done and the books show that.

 

Squad building. I envisage another big player turnover this summer, players out of contract, the majority of them not good enough, plus players will be sold, players coming back from loan & of course new players to settle in, with hopefully a completely new system, possibly 4-3-3 after today. Pretty much a hard a reset.

Plus above all else, I hope we introduce more of our youth prospects into the squad, who will undoubtedly need time to establish themselves.

That's fair enough, and par for the course for us.

 

I'd forgotten what it was like to see a well deserved victory such as today's.
I won't claim it shows how we'll finish the season, nor what the future holds for the club. However, I'm definitely going to enjoy today's performance & result.

 

Hope the scouts read this board as jalos had some.right stick and Phillips does nothing apart from score and assist.

I haven’t always agreed with some of the views of others, mainly because I think he disappears too frequently. However, he was excellent today. First half he was given a man-marking job on Sheehan. He did it so effectively that Sheehan was subbed at half-time. Well done Adam!
