If we have aspirations of being in play offs, never mind promotion, we really need to be better at both ends of the pitch. Chances wasted, and defensively questionable again.
I thought we played well tonight but for the finishing,on another day it could have been 5 - 2 at least
Think your being harsh on the lad he gets in some great positions and his fitness has improved. Special mention for Earl. Best player on the pitch. Ran his blood to water.
I think we should all get an XG rating when we go on a night out Denominator: Potential partners we could have hooked up with Numerator: How many actually came back to the flat Pretty certain I'm on a zero
It was a decent game...we need to finish off our shots and that would have been a 4...2 all day. It kind of typifies where we are at the moment....lots of good stuff lots of errors and really poor finishing.
Hard watch. And that just makes things worse for me. I see all the other top clubs finding a way to win, but here we are again at Oakwell, huffing and puffing our way to another draw and bemoaning missed opportunities.
We're just very average aren't we. Style of play seems pretty non existent and we tend to rely heavily on set pieces and aimless crosses into the box. Massive drop off in quality up front from last season too which isn't helping. Could still see us getting play offs cos it seems like a very poor league this year. But overall it's just all a bit meh.
I hate to labour the point but, we'll probably go to our next away game and get a result because the players and coach find it more comfortable, what about the poor buggers that have paid hard earned money on season tickets to watch utter crap at Oakwell? The pattern is all too evident that this coach fills his pants when we play at home.
I think he's a work in progress, but not having wingbacks that can regularly pick a man out is costing us, it will be interesting to see if Clarke looks to strengthen these areas in January.
