    Played brentford at the own game. All out attack and pressed them. When tired. Subbed our forwards for another 3 young energetic players. Excellent game plan against them. They ran out of options and turned into grubbing

    Boo(!) Rubbish, Barnsley(!) That's not the display needed if we're going to continue to drift towards the relegation places and be this season's Hull City(!):D:D
    Seriously though, for me, that's our best Championship victory since we won promotion in 2019, even better than away at Fulham & Brentford last season. We were on top from the first minute to the last. In fact, I'd say 2-0 flattered Brentford. Dead chuffed for Chaplin & Morris to get on the scoresheet and see Dike set up Morris for the second.

    Tremendous effort from the team particularly after Thursdays game , kept their heads as well in the face of some nasty play by Brentford not punished by the Ref , who was dreadful , UREDS

    Brentford are the highest scorers by far in the league, 55 goals, yet they only had 2 real chances, which shows how this young team are developing. I think we've the youngest squad in the league and the future looks very bright. Also being a Barnsley fan I did check to see how far we are from a relegation spot. 11 points if you're wondering!

    Edit: I don't normally criticise refs but this one was indeed dreadful-24 fouls against us, Bees players doing Bambi on ice impressions all game. He even booked VI and half the bench sat behind him!

    As complete a performance as you could wish for. Outstanding from first to last, outstanding by every player in yellow and brilliant that they refused to be bullied by a team known for their footballing ability but today reduced to the worst kind of street fighters.

    Let’s keep that same starting eleven for Blackburn and blow them away too!!
