    Surely if its at Accrington its their stewards that need to be taking action if we have any mysogenistic fans behaving like total Morons
    I hope we dont get to find out what happens if its our away fans doing it but I cant see how we can have a home ban - maybe ban us from going away to a match or two?

    Unfortunately, soon as Rebecca Welch makes mistakes or is inconsistent, she'll get abuse hurled her way throughout the match - just like male referees do. Difference being, it'll be gendered insults instead, somehow insinuating its her sex that defines how good a referee she is, which is odd considering the fans know how bad male referees are!

    Male refs get stick all the time, how many times do we hear " your not fit to referee " being belted out ? the danger is there for all to see , however I will now put my tin hat on because I will get slaughtered for my next comment , for me women should ref womens football, men ref mens football & it not a sexist comment , I just simply believe each to their own, you do not get female umpires in professional cricket or female refs in professional rugby & in nearly all physical sports you do not get mixed gender teams simply because of the physicality difference & with a lady ref trying to keep up with the pace of football at the top level being a physical challenge that would be hard for them to meet .

    I don't think you need a tin hat. There's reasonable points there. I tend to see no reason why a woman can't keep up with the pace of the men's game though so the only real reason for them not doing is the argument that a vocal minority of misogynistic fans and players are incapable of accepting them. I'd be loathe to allow those idiots to have their way.
    Maybe, as the women's game advances at a pace there will be more incentive for female officials to move in that direction.
    It's sad though that once again we're having this sort of debate because of an ignorant minority.
