RE: when did we play 2 away games against Wednesday? I do not think it was a lack of trying that menat we lost these derbies. Tactics? Quality in the final third? These are more valid points. This season is the most I have ever gone to watch Barnsley as I have been able to independantly travel to away games. I have never seen so many games where we have had dominant periods and somwhow not scored. I do not think luck has balanced out over the season as I can think of only Blackpool and maybe PNE at home when we have won without deserving it. If we had more quality in and around the box I think we would have been well up the table, top 10 even. Of course, this is my own opinion, but as football fans go, I pride myself on the fact i can watch a game and be objective. Away from home, we were abysmal against Hull and Coventry and the first half against Scunny (of the games I have been to). Against Leicester, both teams were terrible and they scored from two set plays whilst it was even. We SHOULD have beaten both Sheffield teams and Stoke, lost 2 goals whilst Souza was off at Burnley when we started to play well. I genuinley think that away from home it has been decided, in the majority of cases, by the tiniest of margins (Bristol, Wolves, Burnley to name a few). The same however, could be said of our home form, only a reversal of fortunes.
Only facts 2 and 3 are in fact facts fact 1 is an opinion, fact 4 is a partial fact compared to some clubs, but hard to quantify and we spent more than others so not really a fact
Can't believe Davey's performance as amanager this year warrents the level of negativeness you express towards him. Must be personal
4 out of 4 nudge.......................................
All managers make duff signings.
Kleberson and Veron cost Man U a fortune and were hardly a success. Ferguson has signed his share of duffers.
None of the players Davey has shunted out are playing in the Championship and the previous Manager was sacked by a League One Club.
That's where this Club would be without Simon Davey, League One.

Based on points we finished 3 above the relegation place. Last season it was 4 (until Leeds had all the penalties) So therefore we were closer to being relegated than the previous season Simply put if we had lost one more game we would have been down. If im wrong i apologise but thats how i remembered it.
RE: Only facts 2 and 3 are in fact facts I gave him the benefit on number 4 as it was a FACT even if it was an incorrect FACT. (assuming that he can get his head around a FACT not being correct that is!)
So we finished four places away from the relegation zone this season. Two places last season. But were closer to the relegation zone this season. Wow that's sound logic. I can see why you want to get rid of Davey.
fair point. My apologies nudger 1 not a fact 2 and 3 correct facts 4 incorrect fact and difficult to measure and quantify
About as logical as Davey saying pre season that a good campaign would be not to be looking over our shoulders at the end of the season and then claiming it was a good season at the end of it. We were looking over our shoulders again.
RE: About as logical to be fair mate, it is illogical - surely final league position should be the defining factor, because this is the ultimate factor that decides progress or regression, finishing 1st, 6th or 22nd. On your logic a team could finish in the play offs one season but tenth the next and have had a more successful season when finishing tenth because they were further from the relegation zone?! I take your point about progress under Davey in relation to looking over our shoulders and agree with you, that has been a disappointment, mainly due to poor striker signings. However, on the whole I think it is fair to say we have had a better season this season than last. Had we not had the cup run, I would be questioning that improvement given the relatively large amounts of transfer funds spent.
To be fair Paul Hayes - now league 1 McCann - now league 1 Nardiello - wont start regularly for any championship side, probably headed to league 1 Colgan - not appeared for Ipswich and unlikely to unless they have an outbreak of keeper mange
I agree. but thats not the point Nudger said "None.............not one...........left the club and went to another Championship or Premeirship club " this is not correct as proven by 5 players that they arent playing or went down isnt the point oh BTW i think Davey has done a fair to good job so far and the squad is better in my opinion
you can't have an incorrect fact, fact is by definition positive, something that can be proved and therefore true.
