I don't think that it's the age gap that is the problem. It's the fact she is a schoolgirl and you are a grown man.

You say you're not with her for sex, but you'll want sex though, surely? Everyone has sexual needs, which is perfectly natural but how can you be sure you won't have sex with her before she turns 16?

I can kind of understand how you can fall in "love" with someone by spending time with them, enjoying their company etc, but she is 15...can she seriously know what love actually is? Or is it teenage lust? I'm not trying to belittle you here telling you it's all fake, etc. But you need to look at the other possibilities.

If you commit yourself to her, then a few months later she's like "errr, I love someone else now" At her age her hormones will be in overdrive, all over the place...don't you remember what it was like at 15 years old? I do! I wanted to shag every bint on the planet.

Love is such a strong word to throw into this equation, especially with someone so young. If you think it's right then go for it, no one can stop you.

The only problem is that she does have a tendancy to speak as finds, which is not always the best thing to do. She is also extremely determined and tries to do too much to help others at the expense of tiring herself out.

they call that been honest, in most cases people appreciate it although sometimes tact is required and that can only be acquired with experience

I don't mine waiting until she is 16. My "sexual needs" as you put it can wait. I will find a way around her family to accept me and give me a chance. Yeah if we get together it might not work and she may fall in love with someone else down the line. But only one way to find out.

I'd never go near underage girls, for the main fact that I think it's wrong! But each to their own like...maybe he is very fond of this lass, but it still may be seen as taking advantage because she's so young.

Exactly i love her so it shouldn't matter. You see my point better then most. It should only matter her being underage if sex was involved which it wouldn't be. All the doubters have probably had relationship that have gone wrong with people there own age etc. So what is to say we wouldn't work ? Maybe we would go right where you went wrong.

What if you left school at 15, and the age of consent was 15?
Would it be ok then? Or should they still wait?

What about a person who is the youngest in the year who has left school. And the oldest person in the year below. They may have been born only hours apart. So is the difference still being at school, or the actual age...?

She is not only 15 though

 

She just missed out on being one of the youngest in year 11. So she is one of the oldest if not thee oldest in year 10.

1st September - August 31st I think is how the birthdays run in school years.
I have a friend who was the oldest in my year at Keresforth who was born in September and a friend who was the youngest and his birthday was 31st August.
